What Do Nerds Eat?

Aaaah, a very good question, yet one that isn’t often answered.  Let’s investigate further, shall we?

Well, in the case of one Wyman Lew, Nerd Extraordinaire…though one of his preferences is Combination Thin Crust Pizza – a staple of many a nerd – something that often comes up on his list of “To Eat” is the following, or a variation thereof.

WARNING:  Not for the feint of heart.  If kids are present, please cover their eyes from what you’re about to see.

Ramen Noodles (Combo style) Ingredients:

One package Ramen Noodles, Chicken or Beef

One package Cup O Noodles, Chicken or Beef

Two styles of noodles for differing textures.

Two small cans of Vienna Sausages!

Three Whole Eggs, cracked and plopped in.

Water (so all these noodles have something to absorb)

Asian-style Hot Chili Sauce

Fresh/Jarred Minced/Diced Garlic

Green Onions

Mushrooms (Shitake, Baby Portabello, your basic Button, just about any style)

Mixed Vegetables (sweet peas, diced carrots, kernel corn, diced celery)

Thin-sliced Radishes

Hickory Farms Summer Sausage (Original Recipe Beef, Spicy & Savory Beef, Ham or Turkey)

Deli-Sliced Ham, diced or cut into small squares

Wasabi (Horseradish)

With practice, if you do it right, the eggs will cook in chunks as opposed to the wispy, barely-there style you find in Egg Drop Soup.

There you have it!  This is what a nerd, THIS nerd, eats.  On occasion.  Yes, it is salt-laden and isn’t anywhere near good for you, but thankfully I only have it once a week to every other week.
